Fabric is where premium events are heading — lightweight, crease-resistant, seamless at sizes vinyl can’t match, and photographed beautifully under stage lighting. Citiprint produces dye-sublimation fabric backdrops, tension fabric graphics and silicone edge graphics (SEG) with the fastest realistic turnaround in London — including a genuine 24-hour service for urgent jobs.
From a 6m press backdrop to SEG skins for retail lightboxes, we manage the whole job: artwork checks, colour-accurate dye-sub printing, exhibition-standard stitching and finishing, and delivery by our own drivers across London — with installation available nationwide.
What Are Silicone Edge Graphics (SEG)?
SEG is printed fabric finished with a thin silicone strip (keder) sewn around the edge, which presses into a channel in an aluminium frame or lightbox. The result: a perfectly taut, frameless-looking graphic with no visible fixings — the finish you see in flagship retail, exhibition lightboxes and premium event sets.
The critical part is precision: SEG must be cut and sewn to exact frame dimensions, or it sags or won’t seat. We produce SEG to your frame manufacturer’s spec — send us the frame brand and size, or simply measure the channel-to-channel dimensions, and we’ll handle the rest. Replacement SEG skins for existing frames and lightboxes are one of our most-requested jobs — reuse the hardware, refresh the graphic.
Fabric Backdrops & Tension Fabric Displays
We print and finish:
- Stage & press backdrops — hemmed, eyeleted or pole-pocketed, from 2m to 10m+ wide with joins engineered to disappear under lighting
- Tension fabric displays — pillowcase-style graphics for straight and curved frame systems, printed single or double-sided with blockout options
- SEG skins — for lightboxes, freestanding frames and modular exhibition walls
- Media walls & step-and-repeat boards in fabric — the crease-free alternative for photography and film (fabric travels folded and steams flat — no more tube-dented vinyl)
- Hanging banners & fabric flags — for venues, retail and events
All printed by dye-sublimation for rich, fully saturated colour that’s part of the fabric itself — no surface ink to crack or scratch — and machine-washable on most media.
Turnaround — Honest and Fast
Fabric involves printing, heat transfer, cutting and stitching — so we’ll always be straight with you about timing:
- Standard turnaround: 24–48 hours from artwork approval and payment
- 24-hour and same day service available on many fabric jobs — call us with your deadline and we’ll confirm immediately what’s achievable
- Delivery by our own London drivers with live tracking, or nationwide including direct-to-venue
If your deadline is genuinely impossible on fabric, we’ll tell you — and offer a same day vinyl or banner alternative that saves the event. That honesty is why customers come back.
Where Fabric & SEG Work Best
Exhibitions — lighter to transport and re-usable across shows; SEG lightboxes are the highest-impact stand upgrade per pound. Press launches & red carpets — fabric photographs without glare or creases. Retail — SEG skins refresh window and in-store lightboxes in minutes. Conferences & stage sets — huge seamless spans, flame-retardant media available to venue spec. Photography & film — flat, matte, light-friendly surfaces.

Frequently Asked Questions
How fast can you produce a fabric backdrop in London?
Standard turnaround is 24–48 hours from approved artwork; a 24-hour and same day service is available on many jobs. Call 0203 167 0400 (24/7) with your deadline for an immediate honest answer.
Can you make replacement SEG graphics for my existing frames?
Yes — this is one of our most common requests. Give us the frame manufacturer and size, or the channel-to-channel measurements, and we’ll produce skins that fit first time.
Is fabric flame retardant for exhibition venues?
We print on flame-retardant display fabrics meeting the standards required by major UK venues. Tell us the venue and we’ll spec compliant media and provide certification if required.
Fabric or vinyl — which should I choose?
Fabric wins on finish, weight, transportability and photography; vinyl wins on absolute speed and outdoor durability. If the deadline is measured in hours, we may steer you to vinyl — we’ll always recommend what actually gets you to your event looking right.
Do you deliver and install?
Yes — our own drivers cover London with live tracking, we deliver nationwide including direct to venue, and our SafeContractor-approved installers can fit frames, lightboxes and backdrops on site.
