Now in our second year of continued growth and with new premises in Essex, we are looking to grow our team at Citiprint, a multi-award Winning print and sign company. We proudly supply high quality printing, signs and workwear to over 450 businesses nationwide including Tesco, Mercedes, NHS and more.

Focusing on in house production from the start of our history has meant constant reinvestment into the latest in print technology, materials and equipment. Coupled with the launch of our mobile graphics fitting service earlier in the year, we are busier than ever and on the hunt for the right candidate to join us and become part of a fast paced and fun environment.

Job Description

Producing graphics, workwear, signs and print for some of the World’s largest brands takes skill, patience and attention to detail. It’s that same skillset we apply to every job that comes through our door, be it for sole traders, charities, schools or government organisations. In an increasingly competitive market, service and quality have to be at the forefront of any offering – we’re proud to offer the fastest turnaround in the UK with nationwide coverage but with a local feel.

We are now seeking to hire a new member to join our print production team to manage our workflow of in house production covering large format print, vinyl graphics, printed workwear and shop/fascia/vehicle signs. The right candidate will hopefully find this new opportunity a challenge to arise to, with an enthusiasm for service and product delivery at the core of day to day work. The gig economy is pushing customer demands for ‘same day’ service in almost every industry and ours is no exception; last minute events, promotions and retail displays are often confirmed last minute with big pressure on deadlines being met. As part of this, being able to work successfully under pressure is absolutely essential – liaising with couriers, suppliers and our clients is a key part of any job we take on, with communication and planning key to our success.

Role

Whilst specific experience is not absolutely essential, it would be beneficial to the successful candidate in being able to step into their new work environment and grasp how we work from day one. We currently utilise several vinyl plotters with a replacement due in early 2018 as well as new wide format printers. The ideal candidate will have experience operating at least vinyl plotters including weeding and backing graphics. We would also welcome someone with vinyl graphic fitting experience as this rapidly becoming an integral part of our business now.

The bulk of the role will be setting up plotter to cut graphics with some basic knowledge of the software and process involved, although this training can be given for the right candidate. Other tasks will entail full signage production – weeding vinyl, applying or backing it and also using clothing vinyl on orders of up to 250 garments at any one time.

Typical job turnaround is a few hours up to a full day with efficiency, minimising waste and understanding of material being key to producing a high quality result, with or without supervision. Where we are unable to produce an order in house, it may fall down to you to work with some of our approved suppliers to buy the job in, ensuring accuracy and deadlines are met.

Any graphic fitting work will take place either on site at our secure unit in Essex or around the country. On site work will also require a good competence in basic Health and Safety when working around vehicles on a busy industrial estate with care for customer’s vehicles and staff at the core of working principles.

Experience

Whilst experience is not absolutely essential, it would strongly benefit the successful candidate in settling in fast within the company. We welcome applications from those with none or limited experience also, stressing that a good grasp of IT, time management and organisation are essential. Full training can be provided for the right candidate.
