Turning any bespoke service around the Same Day is always a big feat but we’ve been doing it for nearly five years now, providing a reliable and efficient service 24 hours a day across London on everything printed – we’ve signwritten Private Jets overnight, transformed the interior of Harrods and even printed props for blockbuster films. So… how do we do it? 🤔

Firstly, we owe a lot of it to our well maintained printers themselves! As this article is about Foamex, the machine in question is our swissQprint Oryx, a UV printer which allows us to print directly onto pretty much anything! So, that’s the introductions complete, let’s run you through the process in just FIVE quick steps!

1. We’ve recently completed a huge refurbishment of our London premises, allowing us to hold even more stock of substrates (that’s sheets of foamex, aluminium, correx etc) so we’ve always got the board you need for your job. We tend to recommend 3mm foamex for most scenarios – it’s light, flexible and our most popular option.
2. The Van Gogh stage – your artwork! We RIP your artwork (not literally!) – this means we get your files ready for printing then after a few minutes, we have a converted file ready for printing so it’s off to the Production Area and our UV workstation…
3. Let’s hit that big red print button – we load your sheet onto the printer and make sure the printer is up to temperature and that the colours are spot on (we can achieve 99% of the CMYK colour gamut but that’s a geeky post for another time)
4. Time for a trim – our UV printer dries the ink it prints straight away, meaning we can take your job straight to the cutting bench or use our huuuuge guillotine and cut your job down to size. Now…. importantly, we recycle any waste from this process, ensuring none of the material we buy in feels left out!
5. Boxing – Here’s the fun bit, finding the right packaging for your job, we carefully wrap and box all substrate jobs so that it feels safe and loved in transit from us to you! ❤️

Our commitment to Health and Safety both on and off site has been paramount since we started in 2016. We’ve demonstrated our knowledge on installations in the UK, Europe and shortly Canada, leading with a skilled and experienced team, specialising in work at height.

We’ve today received our full SSIP accreditation through SafeContractor Approval which paves the way for us to work on becoming ISO accredited in the coming months. We now join over 33,000 businesses in the UK who have been recognised and audited by the scheme, which give our clients confidence that the installation quality they expect is consistently met and monitored to ensure we don’t fall below the standards required.

Each of our fitters is responsible for over £5000 worth of tools and equipment on any given job, largely comprising of access gear including our recent investment into Zarges TeleTowers for safe, portable and easy platform work, providing us a working height of 4m both indoors and out. This has proved invaluable for exhibitions, shopping centres and retail environments and internal work where space is limited.

We’ve had no recorded incidents across the 500+ installations we carry out each year and have regularly been commended by our clients for our safety on site, often in busy public areas which can pose many risks. Our detailed RAMS for each job has further proven our understanding of risks, job specific precautions and management of the Health and Safety of other contractors on site. This was most recently demonstrated at Harrods Knightsbridge, where we were principle installers for the Fendi Cafe takeover, fitting over 200m of vinyl in under 24 hours. We supplied an installation team along with Project Manager to oversee the overnight work. Liaising with over 100 other contractors on site and providing the relevant and safe access equipment to our team on yet another successful job with no incidents.

We will shortly be investing into Dell rugged laptops for our installation team to allow for site audits, equipment inspections on site and to allow for enhanced and real time H&S auditing and oversight.

Viewing London from 100ft can easily be both daunting and impressive at the same time but what about doing it totally naked?

Well, that’s what fundraisers for Coppafeel and Movember did recently at the all new London In The Sky at the O2.

We’ve had a large part to play in the launch of the 72 day opportunity to wine and dine up in the sky with the ticket office full wrap, table branding and more so to add 100 pairs of underwear into the mix was an absolute pleasure.

This weekend, we were invited by Bespoke Cars to the Britcar Endurance Championship with their competing driver Marcus Fothergill in the Porsche 997 911. After a 5am start, we arrived on site and were tasked with getting the new livery fitted to the Porsche ahead of practice.

Repeat agency clients GHOST came to us to white out and brand the Oris Mayfair Boutique ahead of reopening on the 23rd March.

Using matt vinyl, we wrapped every window and door glass panel including branding. This project was completed in under two hours.

We’ve worked now with both McLaren London and Ascot dealerships for five years, in which time we’ve seen plenty of stunning models launched and sold. But nothing beats seeing the latest model unveiled in the flesh so when Jardine asked us to produce some high quality displays ahead of their customer launch event, we stepped in and produced simple yet sophisticated results.

For this event, we supplied several premium roller banners printed on a fast turnaround and designed in house, as well as 4m flags to welcome guests upon arrival.

How many times have you opened a present on Christmas to find it’s yet another novelty mug?! Well, not all mugs are mugs, especially when it comes to supplying AgeUK with a case of Same Day Mugs for their recent filming with Channel 4’s Celebrity Call Centre.

With the laughter from James Acaster, down to earth advice from Nick Hewer and smiles from Gogglebox’s Steph and Dom, Celebrity Call Centre tackled the public’s dilemma this Christmas in a Channel 4 special.

Working in a call centre can be hard work so it’s no wonder those involved enjoyed our mugs so much.

But, it wasn’t just the Celebs who were impressed as AgeUK themselves said “Thanks so much for sorting this so quickly, they look fab!”

British Cycling came to us requiring a solution for correx sponsor signs. We came up with a solution overnight with morning delivery and were then tasked with replacing and installing new graphics on the Velodrome track finish line. This was done on a tight turnaround with limited access the night before the UCI World Cup.

Once again, we demonstrated our agility in turning around specialist sign installations on site nationwide with the correct insurance in place for client peace of mind.

The events team at the new STATION attraction at the ExCeL contracted us to produce fast turnaround graphics and signs including installation prior to the opening to the press and public. 

The exterior of the venue was treated to Print and Cut of nearly 30 different Avengers Logos up to 1.5m wide. These were installed on site to hoarding and were part of a solution devised by Citiprint and the events company to bring colour and recognition to the attraction for the end client.

Internally, key branding was applied to bring attention to 12 fire exit doors with themed graphics used to keep with the event’s branding. These were matt laminated for internal and external use, resulting in a high quality finish to match the building.

We also produced around 30 foamex signs of various designs for wayfinding purposes, security and public safety.

Over the past few years, we’ve worked hard to win several industry and wider Awards and were pleased to find this week that we’d been titled the ‘Leading Specialists in Printing and Sign Services’ in the 2019 Corporate Excellence Awards.

It’s a huge accolade for us as we continue to push boundaries and redefine the Print and Sign industry as we continue to grow and plough ahead.
